INFINITY FESTIVAL HOLLYWOOD

The Infinity Festival Hollywood is a dynamic multi-day event that bridges the creative prowess of Hollywood with the technological innovation of Silicon Valley under the theme "Story Enabled by Technology." The festival features a rich program of curated panels, exhibitions, screenings, and events, focusing on cutting-edge technologies like XR, VR, AR, AI, the Metaverse, Web3, and Virtual Production in entertainment.

Highlights of the festival included panels such as "Behind the Scenes of Blockbusters" featuring discussions on movies like 'The Avatar Way of Water' and 'Barbie'. These sessions explored 'The Evolution of Extended Storytelling' from augmented reality to fully immersive experiences, showcasing how stories are evolving from traditional formats to engaging platforms both on and off-screen.

Among my personal favorites was "Creating the Spiderverse," an enlightening behind-the-scenes talk with directors Phil Lord and Chris Miller, along with Sony’s VFX supervisor Michael Lasker. They provided a deep dive into the creative process behind what is arguably the most innovative of the Spider-Man movies.

Another standout was "BTS of The Creator," a sci-fi drama discussion with Director Gareth Edwards and ILM’s VFX supervisor Andrew Roberts. This panel provided a fascinating look at the innovative techniques used in the film, which was shot in a conventional format and later enhanced with special effects to complement its futuristic design.

"The Future of Immersive Spaces" was another captivating panel, featuring discussions with Kelly White, SVP of Meow Wolf universe strategy and planning; Kimberly Beneville, head of experiences at Area 15; and Corey Ross, creator of the Van Gogh art immersive experience. This session delved into the evolution of location-based entertainment and discussed how emerging technologies are revolutionizing audience engagement in physical spaces.
