AI & WORLDBUILDING

Fbrc.ai, co-founded by Todd Terrazas, Eric Wilker, Rachel Joy Victor, and Dr. Sam Khoze, is at the forefront of revolutionizing story creation, production tools, and consumer interaction channels through AI technology.

 

The company established the Living Lab, a collaborative space designed to unite a community of AI experts, storytellers, and creative technologists. This initiative aims to pioneer the development and experimentation of future AI tools.

 

We had the privilege of participating in two engaging and inspiring workshops at the Lab. The first session, led by co-founder Rachel Joy Victor, involved a worldbuilding exercise that reimagined the classic tale of Cinderella through a modern lens. By dissecting the story into themes, characters, scenes, and settings, and then integrating technology, we gained a deeper understanding of the intricacies involved in worldbuilding. Teams were formed to focus on individual scenes, exploring key elements such as laws, infrastructure, social dynamics, and population.

 

The second workshop was conducted by Craig Patterson, an accomplished screenwriter and filmmaker, who introduced us to AI applications for creative ideation like DALL-E, Firefly, and Stability.AI. He emphasized the art of effective prompting and shared best practices and tips for utilizing these tools effectively. This workshop proved invaluable, particularly as I later explored these AI tools firsthand during a Creativity in AI class.
